Topic One:              

Wireless Communications: An Overview of History and Future Trends

Wireless communications is still one of the most important technologies in the next decade. Mobile device will not only serve as a multimedia mobile phone, but a device seamlessly connects both the cellular systems to the local area environments globally.

In this talk, we will overview the wireless channel characteristics, which is the fundamental issue in the mobile communications. Since wireless communications include cellular systems, wireless LAN, and wireless PAN, we will briefly discuss the history evolutions which will also lead us to predict the future systems. Finally, we give some updates on E911 mobile location validations and commercial location-aware services .

End-to-end Network Solution

 The telecom industry is now facing a changing era. ZTE is now making our best effort to give an end-to-end idea and solution. We would provide the subscribers more capability to get access to the networks and the services. We would also try to provide the carriers and operators improved capability to setup better bussiness models for service convergence and better technologies for network convergence

Carrier  Network Convergence

 As carriers move to deploy more packet-based networks to support a wide range of services, important questions surrounding the role of Sonet and SDH in transport network are arising. Mr. Lee will talk about the network transitions from tranditional TDM network to packet based  IP network.
