Despite the last minute uncertainty of getting US visas for all delegation members, very short preparation time and an all volunteer organization team, the March 1st reception event for the China IT/RFID delegation drew a standing room crowd of close to 100 attendees from area companies, institutions, organizations size big and small. The crowd was a good mix of people with different ethnicity and backgrounds. It provided a futile ground for exchanging ideas, sparkling comments and emergence of cooperation opportunities. UTD School of Management Executive Dining Room and Lounge provided very nice amenities that facilitated this event. CAST, UTD and MIT Enterprise Forum are the co hosts for this event. uniView, Tektronix, Sirit, GlobeRanger, Chinese Consulate at Houston and several other area businesses sponsored this event. The delegation activities and RFID World show information are timely covered by several major news outlets such as blogchina.com and sohu.com.
