CAST Texas chapter has enjoyed tremendous success in the year 2004 due to each member's dedication, open communication and outstanding leadership. The following are some highlights:
- 2004 CAST Texas Chapter Convention in March 13 2004 set the new standard for Chinese None Profit Organization events.
- The new Entrepreneurship Committee organized several events that received high regards in the Chinese and IT community
- Established and enhanced connections with other NPO such as Dallas Chamber of Commerce
- CAST should focus on reaching above and beyond the Chinese community and become an active and influential participant in the main stream U.S. society
- Intro to the new CAST national president Mr. Feiyue Wang
CAST Texas has grown into a mature, formal and energetic organization with bright future ahead
CAST expect each BOD member to realistically assess his/her availability and capability. Then, take on responsibilities with commitment and self-motivation. The objective is to create a win-win situation that will benefit members from their personal goals and will benefit the organization for its growth and improvement. CAST provided a new platform for each member to demonstrate and practice his/her creativity, leadership and personal value.
We should meet to identify problems and opportunities, to solve problems and find answers, not to merely discuss a topic with no actionable outcome. We must continue to reinforce our position in the Chinese community and to increase our influence in the technology industry as a whole.
Entrepreneurship is one of our main focus this year due to its potential to develop and benefit our members. We also need to differentiate ourselves from other similar organizations in order to establish credible and influential identity.
Be proactive, Be effective and Have fun. Let's learn from each other and work together to bring CAST to the next level.
Each member in last BOD has contributed and performed to bring us today's success. The new BOD shell pick up from here and continue the momentum. Nominees for CAST-TX 2005 are:
David Cai, Frank Pan, Kai Xu, Jiang Lang, David Wei, Kevin Wen, Tony Yang, Liang Lu, Jess Li, Daisy Chen
