Highlights:
What is 3G network and what are possible 3G killer applications? What is IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and why it is a good killer applications platform for 3G? What other new technologies are there in the telecom industry? And most importantly, what are the career and business opportunities presented by the new technology, market trend in the telecom industry?
This seminar tries to answer the above questions to benefit people working in
the telecom industries in DFW area. Participants will not only learn some
basics of new 3G technologies, it is also a great opportunity to extend
his/her social network by meeting with other successful people. The seminal
will be concentrated on the technical side of 3G technology. In the meantime,
the speaker will also share with us his personal views about those new
technologies and his successful career stories with ZTE, Santera and Nortel.
Speaker:
Weijun Lee, Director of Network Architecture, ZTE USA Inc., responsible for global technical marketing of ZTE's core network solutions including Fixed/Mobile Convergence, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), and Next-Generation Networks (NGN), and an active contributor in 3GPP and ITU-T global standards. Prior to joining ZTE, he was a System Architect in Santera Systems (Tekelec) and a System Engineering Manager in Nortel Networks in USA and in Canada. Weijun has extensive experience in software development, system design, network planning, and business case analysis in switching, wireless, optical, IP, and network management. He graduated from University of Science of Technology of China, Hefei, China, and University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.
