CAST 10th Anniversary Celebration in TX and CAST-TX 2002 Annual Meeting successful held at SMU, Dallas on November 30, 2002

The representatives from the China's Consulate-General in Houston, Consul Linying Ma and Deputy Consul Jiuyi Qin came to congratulate the annual conference and delivered speeches. CAST-TX Senior Advisor, Prof. Paul C. W. Chu, President of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, sent a congratulatory letter to the conference. The Chairman of National Council of Chinese Institute of Engineers-USA, Mr. Thomas Wu, also presented the meeting and delivered a speech. The representatives from other professional organizations: ACP, CIE, CIRA, US-China Chamber of Commence and Nanjing University Alumina Association also presented the conference.

The academic session was chaired by Professor Zhangxin Chen, the Chair of the conference program. Professor Jeff Tian presented a paper discussing software quality assurance. Professor Andy Chen, a distinguish business scientist at SMU Business School, presented a paper titled A New Perspective on Infrastructure Financing in Asia. The High-tech session was chaired by Dr. Haojin Wang. Dr. Jiannan Zhang discussed a topic on High Tech Venture Capital Investment in China, and The China's Software Export Industry, Its Potentials and Challenges was presented by Dr. Haojin Wang of Santera Systems Corp.

The Annual Meeting also elected the 2003 new Board of Directors. Chaired by Dr. Yousuo Zou, The 2002 President of CAST-TX, the CAST members elected the following persons to be new BOD members of CAST-TX, they are Dr. Yuliang Wu from Arlington, TX, Dr. Ying Hao from Fort Worth, Dr. Zhenwen Jia from Austin, Ms Yaxin He from Waco, Mr. Qiang Bai, Mr. Nan Luo and Mr. Mingyou Wu from Dallas. The new board had a meeting discussing their 2003 work and activities and is to elect their new president for 2003.
